Automotive Infotainment Specialists Will Meet at the MOST Forum 2010

The MOST Forum is an international conference and exhibition on infotainment technology using MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport). MOST is a multimedia networking technology optimized for use in cars and other applications. It enables the transport of high Quality of Service audio and video together with packet data and real-time control over a single transmission medium. The MOST Cooperation is the knowledge partner of the MOST Forum. It is the organization through which MOST Technology is standardized and refined so that it continues to stay abreast of the latest industry requirements. Today. MOST Technology is implemented in over 85 vehicle models worldwide.

Content

After opening the conference and welcoming the attendees, Henry Muyshondt will guide the program, starting with the keynote speech on "MOST150 Infotainment Networking". During the first section, the presenters will take a close look at the MOST Physical Layer. The presentations will be by the University of Applied Science Aalen, Harman/Becker, the Research Center for Information Technology (FZI), Ruetz System Solutions, and Toyoda Gosei. During the lunch and networking break all attendees and speakers are welcome to the exhibition area to learn about available MOST solutions. The afternoon events begin with a section on MOST Modelling and Simulation aspects presented by FZI, Jaguar, TUEV Nord, the University of Hagen, and the University of Warwick. After the afternoon networking and exhibition break the section on MOST Network and System Architecture will round up the conference program. Representatives of Audi, Continental, Daimler, K2L, Nestgroup, SMSC, and Volkswagen will report on achievements and give an outlook on the plans for the near future.

The MOST Forum address a broad audience including researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, as well as purchasers, journalists, and managers of the industries involved.

Event Aim

Automotive professional will present the latest and future technologies and applications based on MOST. "The MOST Cooperation is participating in this forum to help our member companies further disseminate the knowledge learned in over 10 years of intensive work", states Henry Muyshondt, Technical Liaison of the MOST Cooperation. "Our target is to provide a very high quality conference to the attendees by encouraging our members to share their experiences with MOST Technology. In addition we will be exhibiting a demonstration of the latest developments of the MOST Cooperation." The MOST Forum provides an ideal venue to share ideas and experiences, and to discuss the latest news on this de-facto automotive infotainment standard.

Industry partners SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineering, www.sae.org) and ZVEI (Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, www.zvei.org) as well as the media partners Auto Electronics (www.autoelectronics.com), Elektronik Automotive (www.elektroniknet.de) and ElektronikPraxis (www.elektronikpraxis.de) joined the MOST Forum program committee to set up this premier conference program.

Presentation

The one day conference offers interesting presentations as well as much time during breaks for networking and exchanging latest results and trends. Several companies will show their latest products and services during the concurrent exhibition. Exhibiting at the MOST Forum offers providers of MOST solutions the opportunity to present their services and latest designs to engineers and technical management of the infotainment society.
